My Philosophy.... every voice in my classroom plays an important and creative role in our constantly changing society. I believe in student empowerment and that we can create the world we want to see. When learning is meaningful and content pertinent to the lives of student’s education becomes a source of freedom and transformation. My job as a teacher is to guide students to think independently and critically about their contribution to our world. Students need to learn for life, they need practical experiences and current information. Fine art is powerful tool that bridges the link between reflection and action. I choose to teach real life and I choose to teach fine art.
