Silent Movie Production
You will be workingwith a cast and crew of filmmakers to produce an original movie. The final length of your work cannotexceed eight minutes running time.
The goals for thisproject are as follows:
1. Eachperson will demonstrate his or her ability to operate a video camera. (On and off tripod.)
2. Playrole of “grip” (stagehand.)
3. Playrole of “gaffer” (set up electrical concerns)

8. Createand work from production story boards

10. Attendto continuity issues and requirements
11. Performin a Movie: Acting for Camera (see performance evaluation for details)
12. Demonstratean understanding for terminology in a movie production
13. Editraw production footage into final cut presentation
14. Createtitles and edit them into final cut production
15. Addvisual effects in post-production (transitions, speed, etc.)

17. Employa variety of camera shots and angles to communicate story in a film
18. Createeffective pacing in a film
