Your assignment is to choose a great moment in film to share with the class. As long as the moment you pick is SCHOOL APPROPRIATE you can pretty much pick any moment that you connect with.
You will be presenting this project to the class and defending the importance of the work. Consider what makes something great, is there a universal "great", and answer the great moments in film essential questions .
You will present the 5 critical questions, your defense and your moment of choice. You classmates should be taking notes during your presentation and afterwards you facilitate a discussion. Ask questions, allow classmates to ask questions.
RUBRIC
Overall preparedness/memorization and smooth transitions of your presentation. (100 points for answering every question, and explaining the answers thoughtfully to the 5 critical questions, 80 for answering most questions explaining the answers thoughtfully to the 5 critical questions, 70 for just the critical questions, 60 for just the movie and a brief speech)
Speech charisma, creativity and flow. (100 points for getting everything ready yourself and starting the class quickly, 90 for asking peers for some assistance but basically doing it alone, 80 for getting Ms Munroe to do most of it but taking some control, 70 for waiting for Ms Munroe to start the presentation for you)
Written work complete and ideas thoughtful and insightful behind movie making. (100 points answers every question extremely well, 90 answers most questions thoughtfully and all questions completely, 80 some but few incomplete answers, 70 just the 5 critical questions, 60 incomplete 5, lacks details)
